Call to Worship

Psalm 100:1-5

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God!
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Praise to the Lord (Joyful, Joyful)

Verse 1
Praise to the Lord the Almighty the King of creation
O my soul praise Him for He is thy health and salvation
All ye who hear now to His temple draw near
Join me in glad adoration

Verse 2
Praise to the Lord who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth
Shelters thee under His wings yea so gently sustaineth
Hast Thou not seen how thy desires e’er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth

Verse 3
Praise to the Lord who doth prosper thy work and defend thee
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do
If with His love He befriend thee

Chorus
Joyful, Joyful we adore thee
God of glory Lord of Love
Hearts unfold like flowers before thee
Op’ning to the sun above

Verse 4
Praise to the Lord O let all that is in me adore Him
All that has life and breath come now with praises before Him
Let the amen sound from His people again
Gladly fore’er we adore Him

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

VERSE 1
O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

VERSE 2
O come, Thou Rod of Jesse,
Free Thine own from Satan’s tyranny
From depths of Hell Thy people save
And give them victory o’er the grave
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

VERSE 3
O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death’s dark shadows put to flight
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

VERSE 4
O come, Thou Key of David, come
And open wide our heavenly home
Make safe the way that leads on high
And close the path to misery
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

Scripture Reading—Psalm 126:5-6

Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
He who goes out weeping,
    bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
    bringing his sheaves with him.

King of Kings

VERSE 1
In the darkness, we were waiting without hope, without light
‘Til from Heaven You came running there was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets to a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory to a cradle in the dirt

CHORUS
Praise the Father
Praise the Son
Praise the Spirit three in one
God of glory
Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings

VERSE 2
To reveal the kingdom coming and to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation You did not despise the cross
For even in Your suffering You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation Jesus for our sake You died

VERSE 3
And the morning that You rose all of Heaven held its breath
‘Til that stone was moved for good for the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs and the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who’d come to the Father are restored

VERSE 4
And the church of Christ was born then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old shall not kneel, shall not faint
By His blood and in His name in His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ who has resurrected me
