Lead Pastor (and Elder): Tim Briggs

Tim and Jenni met in college at Central Michigan University and married after graduating. Right after college, Tim and Jenni moved to Charlotte, NC where they have lived for 16 years. Over the years, Jenni has spent her time as a school teacher and stay-at-home mom. Tim has been in vocational ministry since college working in churches and non-profits.

Prior to planting Steadfast, Tim spent seven years on staff at New City Church (formerly known as Church at Charlotte) in various pastoral roles. Tim has an undergrad degree from Central Michigan University and a MTS from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tim is a licensed pastor in the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) and has been affirmed as church planter with Harbor Network.

Elder: Dave Joffe

Dave and Terri have had the privilege of being married for 35 years. They have three lovely children: Brad, his lovely wife Kara, and their three beautiful children Noah, Audrey, and Levy; Abby and her wonderful husband Patrick; Nathan, and his lovely wife Jessica. Their dog Lily, the grand-dogs Scout, Finley, and Gus, along with grand-cat Fitzgerald make their lives so full.

Dave has had the privilege to serve his family through working at Bank of America for the last 28 years. The flourishing of his teammates at Bank of America is also something for which he is grateful.

Dave and Terri have been members at Steadfast Church since 2021, attending since 2020. Dave is privileged to serve with other members as part of the Steadfast Church leadership team and preach from God’s word from time-to-time.

Worship Leader: Tyler Palmquist

Tyler and Elizabeth met while attending Auburn University and were married in December 2018. After graduating from Auburn in 2017, Tyler worked with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade) for three years until his staff team formed a new campus ministry called Onward campus ministries in 2020 where he worked for another year. Elizabeth has been working as a nurse in the ICU for four years and is currently in graduate school to become a nurse practitioner. While in Auburn, they attended Grace Auburn church where Tyler lead worship. Tyler and Elizabeth moved to charlotte in July 2021 for Tyler to earn his Master of Arts in Christian counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Pastoral Resident: Tom Greene

Tom and Brooke met through a couple who were mutual friends in 2019, and married in 2021.

After graduating from the University of Washington, Tom worked for Reformed University Fellowship for two years, and then worked as a chess coach before moving to Charlotte to attend seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary, where he graduated in 2020. He works as an editor for a small Christian publishing company.

Brooke received her master’s in counseling from Wheaton in 2017, and has worked at several different counseling practices in the area, but now owns her own private counseling practice here in Charlotte.

Volunteer Coordinator: Zoë Dabbs

Zoë and Nick met in 2013 at Covenant College, where they formed a fast friendship. After several years of friendship, they began dating and eventually married in July of 2023.

Previously, Zoë worked as a high school English teacher at Covenant Day School, lived and worked abroad in Ukraine as an ESL teacher and missionary to Shpola Orphanage, and most recently worked as an eighth grade English teacher at Westminster Catawba Christian School. Zoë was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and moved to Charlotte after graduating from Covenant College, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English.

Nick currently is an HR Business Partner at a local engineering firm here in Charlotte. Nick is one of the few Charlotte natives; he was born and raised in the Queen City!

Nick and Zoë love traveling, hiking, music, quality time with friends and family, good food, and their cat: Willow.
